I've got my frame rate / refresh rate settings smooth it's just the gameplay it self that feels really clunky ( clunkier than CS:S ) like rockets feel like they have timenudge ( my main issue which can probably be resolved with net commands? ) , but this could just be that fact I've that I've been playing QW like mad for the past few months getting to my head.

It's not unwarranted at all. It's a short satirical news post announcing the death and gayness of Quake. Whether or not it's major is irrelevant. There was a time on this site when 'fun' shit was acceptable. I suppose that time ended when the norm became whiny, depressive, self-affirming bullshit.

no, there was never such a time. people do not deserve or expect news items to be opinion based uninformative trolls, there are other content types for this, as there always have been.

There was such a time. The only opinion of mine in this news post is the part about liking Counter-Strike. What does what people expect matter when posting news? People expect Rapha to win tournaments, so when he loses, do you un-major the news and tell the poster that nobody gives a shit about what he has to express, because it doesn't meet the expectations of the community?

i don't know whether you're being honest or trolling or what, but to me, it's pretty obvious that quake can't be either dead or alive, and announcing either is expressing an subjective opinion that belongs to editorials. your example about tournament results is pretty funny, as well. i think whether he wins or loses, if it were an established fact, it would be a fact. now, if you made a post announcing him to lose, while he has won, yes, that would be un-majored or nuked.

lastly, when I looked at the post, in my memory it said 'Major News', so thats when I moved it to journal. I might have misread, or my memory could be incorrect, but I'm not 'pretending' anything.
