Alright, try out SuperWebcam, it's free and dead simple. I assume you're running the game in Windowed mode, so you can do the same here. Make sure you're smart with your increasing of graphics. Some graphic settings will decrease your frame rate more than others, and cause little to no noticeable different for the viewer. It might look better on your end, but on theirs they probably won't notice a difference.

So you just need to run the game 640x480, capture it windowed mode in SuperWebcam at 20-30FPS, and you should be fine.

In terms of your hardware, get the other 2GB NOW. It definitely helps.

I've broadcast UT matches, and Quake matches. I'm on a 2.2GHZ AMD 64 bit processor (dual core), 2GB ram, 7800GT. If I can get away with it, you should be able too.

If dual core CPU = upgrade gfxcard.

if not dual core but AM2 mobo = upgrade CPU and then gfx card.

if not dualcore or AM2=sell in paper for around 130-150.

Basically your gfxcard is shit and if its NOT a dualcore CPU then as far as unreal goes it thinks its shit too, even though as a PC its perfectly fine for most things bar modern resource hungry games.

I think the 3800 was the last fastest single core AMD made.

If it fits, yes. If the ram is too fast for the connection, it will just underclock it, but it will still work.

Well you have to have dual core before you get started so dump in any cheap dualcore AMD2 cpu and that will make a big dif, then update the gfx card, try it out, you might get by without buying ram.

I would do it all on ebay, you can probably get it all for under 75 quid.

Doesn't cost a lot to build a good computer these days.

agree on upgrading the cpu first, but dont spend too much on it because it's pretty much a non-upgradeable system. keep it secondhand & cheap

That's quite a mis-informed statement.

The AM2 boards take the latest quadcore processors to the best of my knowledge so it actually has pretty big upgrade potential.

am2+ cpu will plug into am2 boards. cpu frequency will remain the same, but bus speed will be degraded.

new athlons/phenoms are classified as AM2+/AM3. no word about AM2. dunno if it works, havent tried it. at least it shouldnt work according to the specs

the cpu is definately outdated, get a dualcore and a 9800 gt or something, maybe defragmentation of the hdd's helps aswell

put a 140mm hyper flow fan in the side of the box

i have 7 fans in...i dont need more

so do i, but none really do anything, psu exhaust goes into the cpu heatsink fan, the rear case fans act as a gentle breaze to the cpu heatsink and the back of the vid care

120+ mm fan on the side can keep the heatsink, rear vid card, bridges and ram cool if placed right and used as intake, connect it to a fanbus/controller for when winter comes and use a 5.25 bay as a blow hole
