don't miss xi'an, whatever you do. i'd swap out dalian for hangzhou/suzhou if you can swing it. and how can you justify not having at least 1 night in shanghai?!

xi'an is boring. dont give a shit about a bunch of fake soldiers & museums. hangzhou too far + cost~. train takes ages...flight too expensive; especially when paying for a flight to lijiang & back. would rather go lijiang than hangzhou. dunno though as still undecided. if can find cheap flight prices then maybe 3 days in lijiang & 3 days in hangzhou

Shanghai is very interesting because you can really see the western world mix with more traditional chinese style. At least it was like that in 98.

And Hangzhou and Suzhou own, even though those were the only two places I went to besides Shanghai, I'd definately recommend them. Go to Hangzhou if you want to visit only one.

seems ill most likely be going beijing, qingdao and then lijiang/xi'an now (deciding between the 2 as would be too expensive going to both)...maybe with a 2 day trip to dalian depending on what qingdao is like
