CPL has a history of dropping games after one event - AvP2 and UT2003 were both played at CPL's winter events and neither used again. Will the same happen to Halo? Some clans that signed up for this year's event have already dropped the game altogether saying that playing the game is not worth the $9.000 you can win for first place.
So... what is Halo's future? Will it appear at the European CPL Spring tournament or will it be a one event comet like AvP2 and UT2003 were? Some people claim it is only a question of how much money CPL got from Microsoft...
CPL press release: The CPL announced that it has decided to include Halo for Windows as part of its entire 2004 Season, in addition to the NVIDIA $30,000 Halo Tournament taking place at The CPL Pentium® 4 Processor Winter 2003 Championship.
