I recently quit playing quake 3 because of my connection and wanted to make a video as a bye bye :)
Been playing for around one and a half year and tried to find / capture the best frags by the best players out there in all this time. The result is this, a 13 mins 37 seconds movie.
Hope you all like it :)

Yea that out of sync was only in mike's quadrun, i tried to make a "he goes that fast that sound goes behind" feeling by increasing the speed of the clip and leaving the sound at the same speed, also adding that echo effect... but if it looks like a flaw i'll try not to do that anymore if i make more vids :P

Amazing movie. This is the only q3 movie I've ever truly enjoyed, really nice with ingame sounds and amazing frags. It's a shame if you don't make more movies, this one is as good as they come!

great movie, although a shame it wouldn't work in BSPlayer, so i had to use the divx player.. because of that i could only view it windowed, or it'd lag too much. only "elite" frags. :)

use of ingame sounds in a frag movie alone means [+], must have been alot of work 8), only heard that in gopher's 2nd movie and made for quake afaik.

only thing i'm wondering is: did u compress the sounds to mp3 format? (cause the media player doesn't seem to use the codec) just for avi file size :/

Nope, for some reason premiere didn't like the mp3 codec, althought i had it properly installed. Instead I used ADPCM compressor, gave a decent quality/size ratio.

A tip is to use premiere for editing and leaving compression to virtualdub or similar (where you have better audio compression choices).

Why do you call it "commercial crap"? As far as I know, all the music in that video comes from respected artists/bands, who all write the music themselves. Who cares if it's commercial.

I'd have to go with Dolt here. The problem is not that it's commercial or not, the problem is in the songs themselves.
For example it's definitely possible to pick better songs from Manson even though he's gotten more and more "commercial".

Fucking excellent man. Raw shit. Proper frags including favourite classics (although u did miss ic-PANICORE's DM6 ownage vs ALL*) and more up to date 1's too. Really enjoyed it, the extra work adding sound is always worth it and the music was ok too.

Its in the top 10 of me fav frag movies :]
