What kind of information is required for the betting to finish? Since Tim Willits already said there will be multiplayer, I don't really see the point. Does he have to say it again? This is quite silly, and could go on forever, though the idea is fun :p

The bet should end before the game is actually released. Otherwise some readers might exploit it!

This bet can't work.

If it ends when the game ships, everyone will already know the answer and the fixture will be exploited.

If it ends once we think we know a definitive answer, then we are risking to fall in the rumor's trap, screwing up the ppl's money, database problems, work for sujoy...

Therefore i suggest you refund the money now, anyway you will have lots of whinning from the people who got their money stuck here for months, its about 45kE$ man...

Doom 3 won't be released this summer. This bet will be closed for a minimum of 2 months before the game is released. This of course makes your objections moot.

Now if hell freezes over and id announce that they will release the game 1st september we can always *gasp* close the fixture earlier.
