Because unfortunately it's a gamble knowing if you are going to get a chinese knockoff or a real deal.

Also the cable sucks, and apparently there are better sensors these days.

Also unfortunately, all attempts to replace it will always result in shitty cases. For some reason no one can clone the fucking shape and slap in a better cable and sensor and get rich.

There are mice that fit that criteria, IME3.0 successor is Razer Deathadder Chroma/Elite, for IMO1.1a it could be zowie ec1/2, for WMO zowie FK11/12/13.

If you are picky about the cable, get a "paracord" replacement cable or DIY one. It feels almost like cableless, with the performance of a cable mouse.
