4 duel maps in total is optimal expecially for bo5 bo7 finals

Four maps in a BO5 or BO7 would be ridiculous and boring

So true, and it's incredible how Blood Covenant is almost 100% guaranteed win when it's up against another map during the voting process.

Seriously though I think these maps are so extremely popular that they might have hurt the ql scene and now QC (to be fair qc only has 3 maps so you have to keep them for now). Im not involved in the cs:go scene at all but I heard there were tournaments where they removed dust2 from the cycle and it turned out to be good. I think scrapping fan favorites can be a good thing. /discuss

dm6 and ztn were regularly removed from the map pool in QL, also QL had the largest duel map rotation of any previous quake.

q4 had dm6 but it wasnt much played because there were so many much better maps made by the community.
qc can also have lots of good maps made by the community.... ohhh wait :x

at least the q4 community at least didn't play that map constantly.
