Quite enjoyable but way too easy (meaning short) ... a whole match can be done in 2-3 minutes. This is not a good viewer experience and will drive some people away.

Although the whole new quake 1v1 format is stupid ... keep it, just make it last a bit more, either by increasing the number of rounds (bo5 or bo7 per map should be minimal) or increase the number of heroes from 3 to at least 5.

They should get rid of the rounds, have timelimit 10 and 5 champions - lives.

This way the gameplay wont get constantly interrupted, people will pick champs they normally wouldnt, there will be more time for comebacks (instead of all the Nyx runaways), but noob rapes will still end quickly. Kinda easy solution.

The current thing is kind of a joke challenge wise.

I used to complain a lot about the fact that whole match can be finished in 2 minutes

but from what i have seen so far it is that way only if it's a one player roflstomping the other, type of game you get bored of watching in ql

i figured that if both players are matched game seems to be a lot more fair when it comes down to one map, compared to ql, which with tl10 you always had same scheme how the map played out :
-players spawn
-player with better spawn gets initial advantage
-3-4 minutes in the second player gets his chance to come back
-around 5-6 minute mark the game looks tied
-around 7-8 minute mark the winner is decided

QC needs different duel mindset, and you could clearly tell that looking at avek's games who hasnt adapted at all and got punished for that badly

if you look at games like Fazz-Toxjq or Cooller-Nitrino, you can clearly tell you wouldnt get a bo1 like that in QL


overall that's the way I see it : Q3 tl15 >> QC duel >>>QL tl10

I think the frag limit, time limit and stack cap makes for a worse viewer experience than short rounds. Whenever two players respect each other's combat skill enough, the game seems to devolve into elder levels of +back. Players have a strong incentive not to go for risks because they can only fuck up three times and they also have a strong incentive to move around carefully because two rails can kill most champs. On top of that, after getting one or two frags, it seems perfectly viable to go fully on the defensive.

I really like seeing all these players again, but whenever the game gets close enough, I find myself quickly losing interest in what's essentially glorified hide-and-seek.
