It's not easy to come across as sincere when describing just how much the donations from some anonymous Russian guy to an online cup for a Seven Seventeen year old game means to a bunch of old nerds. Even if you read every comment on every thread or every stream, I don't think you could have any idea just how much enjoyment those contributions have brought to Quakers every week for the last few years.

Alexey, thanks for keeping Quake alive long after its publisher had written it off and thanks for all those hours of great entertainment.

So it was around 1000$ per month iirc.

Yeah, actually if we calculate the total amount of money donated in rubles and then convert it into dollars using the currency rate that was in the very begging (~32.5 rubles/dollar) we will get around $37k
