What i personally would do if on Quake champions team :

Take all the demos from this short event , remake the crappy "official gameplay" into "legends playing Quake Champions" or something similar. Sure have some fancy camerawork , but proper first person view most of the time . Im sure you have some decent frags and movement to show off if edited into 1 minute long video .

However if given the oppurtunity I would fabricate awesome frags that is possible to do within the game to showoff potential high level play .

I think that the slowed down official gameplay trailer was made that way on purpose. If they showed my Australian friend Noctis playing the game at full speed and strafing around everywhere, it would probably scare away all the non-quaker casual players.

this engine seriously looks like UE4...considering it's confirmed that it's NOT idtech6 as of recent, i'd make a healthy bet that this is on UE4

It was described as being a mix of id and saber techs, so no. Besides, all engines basically look alike nowadays.

Looks dull, it even has the same Q4 rocket sound which was horrible. Im sure they fuck up again by not adding the cool doppler effect from Q3/QL when a rocket passes by near you (why in the Fuck they didn't add this in Q4. rockets felt like dull planes).

We will never get matches like rapha vs evil in this game in duel mode, forget it. They will fuck up with the special abilities. And even a classic mode will not work because the game feels like yet another Q4.

All we need is Q3/QL being huge and mainstream. It has proven that after decades it is still the best game as we have seen in the grand finals. Just give us the exact fucking game with updated graphics and ragdolls on the corpses and maybe higher poly count on the maps to make it look fancier. id will keep fucking up in the aesthetics and engine department (Q4).

The fact that Q3/QL isn't huge and mainstream and we have shit tier games as mainstream proves humanity has failed.

It's still alpha though technically? I'm sure the sounds could be just placeholders for some things.

Yeah, I am sure where not allowed to use just any settings they wanted + most likely most of the settings aren't even implemented yet. Still, the game looks quakeish, but I too want other rg model and maybe fixed lg model. RL looks okish, they can finish that model and make it look ok.

C'mon, they will probably implement some skin/model changing system. This is a must have option for kids novadays. 9$ for q3 model pack and we're good.
