Not to be super cheap, but, would experienced players please chime In on the minimum prize pool that would be appealing and still give motivation to play? I could probably give 5-10$ every two weeks. Thats about all I can afford :(

since nico claimed to have not set it major, i checked the edit history. twister was the only other person that has edited it. when i sent the same message to twister, he claimed that he also did not set it to major.

i've offered both twister and nico an approach to edit the post so that it is viable as major news. i did the same for twister recently with his attempted av3k movement. i've not yet received a response to the offer, and neither has changed the content of the post, nor has either asked for me to edit the post.

what else can i do? esreality major news isn't craigslist for quake live donations. there are editorial standards for major news. it's not as though i nuked this post, as i did with the original av3k donation requests.

3 of 15 frontpage major news posts mention donations (which is 1/5, nowhere near 1/2), one of which is posted by nico_qd. these are all great examples of how to work donations into major news.

a post directly soliciting users for donations is itself not appropriate for major news. however, editorializing the content of the post so that it is not a direct solicitation, and is instead news about the situation, is much more appropriate.

Judging by all that has been going on for the past months , maybe this time it will die. I'm not saying i want it to but i think it was a long time coming and juuust maybe this is the final blow. It was a nice ride though ..

I didn't left quake, but I stopped play it for IRL reasons, job and so on.. I even stopped to watch streams... In 15 years of quaking , It was never boring to watch streams, but somehow I lost the taste of quake and in this moment I DON'T MISS IT! Somehow I am happy about it, becouse it's dead like it was never before..and I don't feel pain in my hearth :) ps. I didn't quit quake, I will never do this , it's all about free time :)
