Combined with some methods I read for improvement through positive feedback from observing one's own "vitals", this could be an interesting way to improve at games, especially FPS.
It was something about the bow and arrow. Beginners would be shown a master's "vitals", then told to adjust theirs to match it. They'd watch a screen that displayed their vitals, and would use that feedback to get in the zone and hit better shots.
Well, games are mostly a mental thing, and i dont need a mouse to tell me if a Situation was intense or not. I cant see how it is helpful in any way, to me it just seems like some Swedish Hipster BS thing.
Yeah, this is just some dumb gimmick. Biometric feedback is something that can work in other fields, but no one is going to stare at their heart rate monitor while trying to clutch a 1v3 to win a game. It's also going to be no surprise that those metrics will be elevated in tense situations.
The only use I see in this is entertaining stream viewers.
if you pledge $79 or more you get the mouse. what's funny is that there's no difference between pledging 79, 89, or 99 dollars and yet they list them anyway.
cool idea but it doesn't belong in a mouse and would be pointless for anything other than use with streams, and then you'd have to have players use it instead of their preferred mouse. it probably adds a lot of weight, too.
I loves this initiative although I doubt they need Kickstarter. They do that for advertising and money.
But there is a problem. I have been gaming with Naos 7000, the exact same shape. If you are used to this ergonomic shape then it's great, many arent. But the main problem is the weight and big size of this mouse imo. It made me switch to a smaller mouse after 500 hours of using the Naos 7000. I wish they made it in 75 % it's size and weight. And considering the new sensors probably already adds some weight.
In terms of gaming and specifically QL and Reflex that I play. I found it very hard to LG properly but my rail was very stable with this. After moving to a smaller/lighter mouse with a similiar shape I found it easier to LG despite having a much worse sensor. (CM storm xornet).
Everything with the Naos 7000 sensor is great such as the sensor, scroll and buttons, but it's too big. Surely it's a personal thing, my hands are relatively small for an adult.
