Kana v2 is kinda similar shape/sizewise and the sensor is great too.
It has sidebuttons but they are actually the reason I stopped using mine, I found that they were too big and kept intruding on the section of the mouse where I'd usually place my thumb. Otherwise a great mouse imo

I don't feel like paying 50€ for a mouse to be honest. The last time I did that, my kitten chewed through the cable of a Razer Diamondback. I think I'll go with either the Abyssus or the G100s. Or maybe bst' mouse. It has sidebuttons and you support community effort by buying it.
Waiting on the official ESR test and opinions on that tho.

Never tried the Ninox Aurora, although I've heard only good things about it.
Abyssus and G100s are fine choices too - personally I prefer the Abyssus due to the shape but in terms of overall performance and value (priced at £19.99 GPB here) I'd say the G100s takes the cake. Superb sensor performance (when used under 1000 dpi), responsive mouse buttons, nice weight, etc - it's easily as good as mice twice its price.

The only reason I suggested the Kana v2 was because if you dig around you might be able to find one going quite cheaply - it retails for £49.99 here but I only paid £22.50 :P

Get a wmo, I've heard they're pretty good.

Yeah, I can play without it, but it doesn't really work with other applications. Also it takes a lot of time getting used to not jumping with m2. :-C

Mine started having cable problems (disconnection while moving it) last Saturday. The mouse is barely one month old and I haven't played much Quake on it. My previous WMOs all lasted for several years. This is sad :(. I might end up buying something else too but it's annoying how overpriced gaming mice are.

Theres a guy on ebay who sells replacement mouse cables. Looks like this one for the 3.0 (which is probably directly compatible) would even improve on the stock WMO one
