Can confirm - imsg function for users on probation would be cool. If hitsu farts shit from his face on ESR and you want to monitor that, okay - but do not block private messages :(

Well, the way the website was designed doesn't leave much room for improvements. It'd be easier to start from scratch as far as I understood.

If you want to know more about that, bet would be to talk with demiurge or wn.

What I had in mind is - there are tons of examples that volunatary-based projects can thrive and gaming site like ESR is not "Hobbit The Movie" stuff that needs gazylions of money.

We have a repo, we have a good plan. It requires time, skills, and interest. This combo of three is very hard to come by. For example, I don't have time. A lot of people who have interest, don't have the skills, but I'm willing to help and introduce things slowly. That is why we have a repo and I can give access to it and review code changes. Are you interested in contributing? Do you have any suggestions on how to find people with three attributes I mentioned?

It's just fine as it is, no need for any change in the upcoming 50 years.

Sujoy created ESR from scratch, then later others came to help out, but for the last 5-6 years I have no idea what's been happening as I haven't been very active.

We DON'T want to monitor it. We also don't want to let spammers spam anyone they want. So, this one is by design. What we can probably do is to allow people on probation reply to iMsgs, not send original ones. Or send them to anyone else on probation, heh.
