on the internet you don't have to hide your alter ego, this is mostly why because people act so different on the internet and personally.

I was lucky to meet him at QuakeCon and is a nice person, very funny and very humble guy, trying all the time to learn from everyone and get the best possible experience from each we were there

i think i will prepare myself for the next year of quakecon, but here in brazil when you start an university degree faculty or a college you have two choices, one is free and you have an exam to join it, or you do the private and this cost a lot of money. so i maybe can't attend next year again cuz I'm calculating that I'm not going to goal these free stated universities :D. So in another life maybe! LOL :D

Zorak was actually the coolest person i've seen, he might of been busy most of the time. But it was great playing with him in CTF for QuakeCon this year.

Really glad to hear that NA will have a league again soon, it's been missing for a while now. Nothing beats the adrenaline rush from playing Quake in actual matches that matter more than just practice and meeting and playing with people you probably would never get to know otherwise.

lol, nice optimism. i feel like people have been concerned about QL tourneys for years, but pretty much every year, there are at least 3-4 big LANs (Qcon, DreamHack, etc.), as well as myriad other online tourneys (125FPS, FaceIt, Zotac, etc.), so i'm not sure there's really any trend toward the competitive scene dying. Or am i missing something?

(edit) p.s. i'm right there with you with my high hopes for Zorak - he's always fun to play and it seems like he's done quite well at systematically improving his game over a short period of time.

In 2013 there was one dreamhack and quakecon, in 2014 it's only quakecon so far. Someone somewhere posted winners of bigger lans in QL through years and the fact that there are less tournaments every year was more than noticeable.

His character name in Darkfall (the game he mentioned he played) was "Zorak Warslayer", it's probably just an abbreviation of this.

I figured it was something random like that. The stories behind the nicknames are probably not very exciting most of the times, but it just annoys me not knowing X_X
