Problem with streaming on Twitch as a filthy non-"partnered" (or whatever) random peasant without quality options for viewers: Either have acceptable visuals and people always bitching about it being "laggy" (no matter how hard you try to optimize it) or, well, garbage bitrate that's just not enough for QL.

Need viewers/subs to get quality options, and need quality options to get viewers/subs. :(

can you pay initially to get boosted to the level where you have video quality settings?

ya this is a problem im having. sacrifice quality for accessibility or sacrifice accessibility for quality. lol i always change it around too. can never stick to one.

I've seen many good looking streams that my wooden laptop can handle. Of course "only 60fps 720p^2 source master race" can fuck themselves : )))))

funnyb's stream is pretty much as low as a streamer would want to go though (good but not overkill framerate, surprisingly low bitrate, neccessary picmip) while still looking good, but is still basically unwatchable for a few people
which is the point; without partnership you have to choose between a glorious stream that "wooden laptops" or sub-par connections/routing can't handle, or one that looks underwhelming/disappointing to people with normal computers and connections

just sucks to have a lot of processing power and upload at your disposal but still have to broadcast an unimpressive stream so people can actually watch it

dunno if there's much anyone can do about it other than throw infinite money at twitch and viewers so they can upgrade their shit
