uh this isn't news. It's been out for a while (the news of the beta, not the beta itself).

This will probably be shown at Qcon or something since it says in the FAQ that more info on Doom beta will be released after the when wolfenstein comes out and what comes after the release @ may 20th???? Quakecon in july.
