Nice to see you moving away from your traditional "epic" music.

I usually dislike event-movies because there aren't good enough material from one event to make a decent fragmovie. But this was awesome, superb job zeroql.

And apparently etty, larslarslars, sothis or matr0x didn't do a single highlight frag, shame on you guys.

AFAIK all my frags were highlight frags. However, as they were so extremely good, it would be degrading towards the other frags to only pick a few. Thus to make room for more players in the movie, they left me out!
No hard feelings, ZQL!

Very high production values, great looking config and layout, could have used a bit of tasteful fx but awesome anyways.

Frags were carefully selected, would have cut down a bit myself but I never thought "meh..."

Editing of frag sequences was very light, I feel you could have highlighted some more with some light effects and slowmos... I guess the focus was unedited performance and I'm sure plople will love it.

Nice selection of camera moments

Only thing I didn't like was the humorous moments which, to be honest, never made me laugh

A great movie for its intended purpose. My feelings towards this movie is the same kind of vibe I get from faceit as whole, it's good, but it could use a bit of personality.

Worst fucking music in a frag movie I've experienced in looong time. Was so difficult forcing myself to keep watch and let alone not punching the monitor in a desperate attempt to make that annoying cunt shut the fuck up -_-

Some frags were good, others mediocre by fragmovie standard. That is of course attributed to the fact that its a event movie with limited amount of frag material.

There was no feeling of hype whatsoever. That was one of the great aspects which made Memorial so epic, and with all the event footage you'd think it would a possibility.

And why, why, why use that awkward horribad faceit announcer voice-over at the grand final? -_-

Really enjoyed the movie, totally forgot how many awesome frags there were at DHW. Ofc there were a lot that I didn't see on stream also!

Although I don't see why the little zhu bit at the end was included.. Sure, I'm all for the small community in-jokes - but I don't feel this was the right place for it. Could maybe have put the Detrony vs Evil sinister pummel fail at the end instead with some Benny Hill music... or something

Zoot, the Zhu part was included maybe because Zhu kept crying here about him being banned, while Zeroql isn't anymore. Zeroql afaik never replied, until now, this is a message for Zhu "Zhu, look at me, I cheated, I'm unbanned, I'm helping the community now with fragmovies, maybe you should do the same and do fragmovies, and do better ones!".

Music was excellent. how many hours of listening to royality free songs did it take to find that :D?

The only thing I don't like that much is the finals part. Announcer voice isn't fitting and it wasn't quite enough content shown from the finals to warrant an own section. You should have either shown more moments from the finals and created a proper arc of suspense or left it be imo.

How is separate page (with surely lower bandwidth than ESR and often no support for HTTP 304) going to fix this?

The solution is not to embed megabytes of images into your main page, period.

You can provide links and descriptions, hover and shit, but not this many images that load no matter what.

Of course my browser caches the images, ESR supports static images nicely and next few page loads are very fast. But the first one was absolutely crap. To make matters worse, the theme images were waiting for the big ones to download, so page looked crap for 15+ seconds.

Good thing I haven't decided to visit ESR with my cellphone today, I'd use like half my limit for this month just to get the main page ;)

This movie has one great quality, and that is that you can show it to someone who didn't played quake since 2004, or someone who never played it, and they will still find it amusing, with few "wow" and "woah how is that even possible" here and there.

(tried and tested)

Clean execution all the way, gave it an 8.

Something I would have done though is some more post for the material: Color grading / color correction and for the cutscenes I would have added DOF to add more cinematic feel to it. Music wasnt particularly good, but it synced with material okishly so its fine.

Good job!
