i went full retard with my right ear and didn't let i heal properly before going from 6 to 8 and 8 to 10.
wish i could go back and do both ears in same pace :D

it was frustrating(to me at least) to have different sizes in left and right.
I let it heal properly when i got to 10 though, and a couple of months ago i went to 12 without problems

You start with 4mm and work your way up i went to 5mm after 6 weeks and stopped because my boss would freak out if id go larger they told me @ the shop that 10mm and below would still be able to restore it (de-strech)? or you remain with a hanging earlob like a 90 year old.

Yeah I do work out quite a lot, and yes, during cardio you do hear the ring scratch against the tunnel :) but I can also just take out the ring during workout sessions if I feel it bothers me too much, not that big of a deal.

There's a bunch of various size ear-expanders, obviously they come in all colors and textures. But no, you don't have to wear those in public, during healing time you CAN wear them, but a better alternative is to swap to the smaller plugs you can see there, as they won't be as clumsy and obvious. Because yeah, the actual expanders look fucking horrific.

Don't forget there's also fake-expanders, for those who just wan't to look "cool"!
