When ja ja ve ve first hit the scene last year at ESR™, I have to admit, I was really skeptic. New kid on the block comes out of nowhere and acts like he's home. No feeling out process, straight to edgy and confident remarks. I remember thinking that he must be a troll alias of some regular.

That being true or not, I have to put it aside, because time after time his well thought out arguments and comments seem to brighten my day, wich is a nice change for a tired old ESR™ user like me. Usually after reading hundreds of comments of "Jamerio vs Lethe" or "Jamerio vs zhu" or "zhu vs the world" discussions I get really derpressed by the sheer negativity and abuse to the extent that I want to kill myself. That's where ja ja ve ve comes in. Finding one of his well crafted and witty posts placed between all the madness really cleanses my soul like a colonic.

Ain't nothing like a day started with ja ja ve ve's humorous adventures and that's why his profile URL is my browser's starting page. I would have stopped visiting this site a while ago if it wasn't for him.

Kinda' like him. The majority of his posts hit the nail right on the head. There are some comments and remarks he makes that piss people off, but those never really got my attention. And besides, the people that get enraged by him need a quick 'internet trolling 101' class and stop being butt-hurt.

Look at these forums, its a mess. Spammed by fat teen kids who have too much free time on their hands and like to call their simian nonsense 'trolling'.
I dont blame directly brandan, hes not the only site admin after all, I'd just like to see a few of these spammers banned to prevent things getting out of hand.

maybe thats the case, but i feel like there is a balance between thebfirst most outspoken complainers and the more rational people beginning to complain. when i see that tolerant people begin to have issues i start to pay attention. i dont think i am liberal at all, just inattentive until i see signs that there are real problems. one of those signs for me was your post, so thanks.

also the frequency of and substance of and responses to scala topics compared to other content on the site motivated my decision. i dont have anything against dutra personally, but it is important that users respect the site for the benefits it provides, rather than just take as much as they can for as long as they can. i think i understand his approach to the site, so i am a little sad about putting him on probation, but maybe he will see that it is important to practice moderation so that a good thing can be freely enjoed for a longer duration.

esr has never been a quake community site. its always been a community site with an esports focus. content-wise the forums arent really all that different from years past, though indo think a few users are a bit...disrespectful of the amount of freedom they have to use the site. i hope by being on probation they can see it is a privilege that shouldnt be abused, and that if they want to use the site to mess with people and joke around that it is important to practice moderation so as not to saturate the site with extremely low quality instigatory content.
