I get to the boarding gates on time and they say that because i didn't check in over 4 hours before my flight it will cost me 70 pounds to catch the flight, which i don't have on my card atm and having an australian bank account no one here (roychez etc :P ) could quickly put the money in as it would take days to go through, so only camma could do it and he was on a coach back to liverpool from london at the time so i had no way to contact him... :P i mean who has such stupid policies? checking in online 4 hours b4 hand? some international flights ive been on u cant even check in UNTIL 3 hours b4. Anyway this would never happen in aus... european cunts!!!! haha rant over :P

Yes, it's been removed, but it seems to work (you get all the fancy descriptions on each quality as before. But it didn't help me this Sunday, it was as laggy as without the fix :(

After some quality lags on low I gave VLC a try and theres no lags on source quality. You might wanna try that aswell.

Jokes aside, I like your casting more and more. I always watch my vods (unless I got thrashed really hard or the other way around) and it's been great to hear your opinion on some moves. Obviously sometimes you miss some stuff but so does everyone. If I had to give an example: when spartie "didnt drop with lg to finish off cooller" on sinister. It was anything but a mistake: spartie's LG ammo must've been around 10 ammo at best. That'd have been the death of him ;)

Yeah u do miss small things and make mistakes but its like playing and ive played sooo much more than ive casted yet still make mistakes whilst playing! hehe and yeah i know watching the cast for tips on what u are doing wrong is good and im glad u enjoyed it!

if you watch vods do you notice that you fight really weird? like you hesitate in fights, i dunno wtf that is. Maybe change your weapons more and use more combos or something.

You should know that dem0n changes weapons with the mousewheel. Maybe this can have an impact on what you experience.

Simple, evil was 2 frags up on cure, 1 min (or so) to go, went on a vacation and cooller used that moment and threw a few rockets at him.

Evil threw it away, but it was nice to see some unexpected results in the end.

what would have been more unexpected is that if cooller cameback vs cypher on sinister and then went on to win 3-2. woulda been crazzzy shit. only rapha has done that vs cypher (IEM4world i think)

That's how we do it in France dude, throwing stuff at everybody even when they don't need / deserve it :p.

okay fraze is a decent caster when he is remembers to pause, but there were a lot of occasions where the fraze line of thought and player line of thought and actions were totally out of sync, for example cooller is very low and fraze says he is in a bad spot etc but then fraze says he is low / will take long to recover / about to die while in the 10s window of the game where he is saying this stufff cooller goes opposite side of the map picks up 2 yellows and 50 hp and totally back in business.

Actually it makes me appreciate ddk more as a caster, he NEVER has situations like that. I feel fraze gets a little carried away on how HE would have played a situation vs what these players are doing / planning to do. I also feel he sometimes overly criticizes players to give up a frag when it was a deliberate decision form that players part to die giving hell lot of damage. He should say "yeah, that attempt do deliver damage may not work out" instead of saying "NO, HE SHOULD NEVER HAVE DONE THAT" etc.

it doesn't happen to ddk because he's a play by play caster, as apposed to pros casting along with him.

That's why people (including myself) love Fraze, he has a very honest opinion about the situation, and yes, he says what he would think would be best in that situation, even though sometimes the player does something different (of course, as not everyone thinks alike).

And hearing you talk about that "bad spot", come one. It's obvious you're in a bad spot in such a situation against a good player, but sometimes they manage to get away and restack quickly. Can happen, can backfire.

Hearing Fraze talking clear no-bullshit like "he should have never done that" is why his casting style is so refreshing.

What puzzles me are not the occasional parts where fraze is wrong, but the amount of predictions where he is right! Especially on toxicity.

Well you are right sometimes I am wrong, but that makes sense as noone is perfect!! Also yes some players would react differently to spots than what I would or even what i would deem to be the perfect move from a scenario.

Also u have to remember sometimes these players even make mistakes so they may let the player off the hook a little sometimes as well.

Since we the commenting is the subject.

Fraze, only suggestion I would have is that you don't always have to have an opinion if something is good or not. Overall I do find your reads of the situations interesting.

Something similar for DDK: give yourself a break now and then. Not every single play needs to be called out. Don’t be afraid of the silence. Using pauses will bring more emphasis to the commentary, and raise it to a higher lvl.

And please, please, increase ingame sound volume in regards to caster volume. The understanding/enjoyment of the game is so much worse when u can’t hear enemy player.

To add to the "not call every play", quite often as a game starts there is an interesting side conversation/story being told. This side thing is always interrupted in order to call the start of the game. I can understand this on important maps, however sometimes I think it would be better to carry on the story then go "that was a nice start by XYZ, favorable spawn, lets see if he can turn it into a win" etc.

Its frustrating we don't get the end of those stories :P

but i think the "problem" also lies in the fact that after almost every cup, everyone in the forums praises ddk for casting (which is fine, he's a machine, especially when he casted eu and na cups alone, major props) but nobody is trying to give him constructive criticism, well almost nobody, like you just did.

And when you only hear praises you think you don't have to change anything.

Also cause he talks all the time (i don't really know why he thinks he needs to talk all the time but whatever), he ends up just blabering nonsense, sorry but that's the truth.
some others may not notice this cause they're probably not even listening what he's saying, but i do.
cause he doesn't take time to think what's he gonna say next, he just starts talking and ends up just talking some random stuff, often times he contradicts himself and what he said earlier.

and he needs that input from the community that actually listens to him to improve his casting, cause i doubt he watches his casts over and over again after he just casted for 8 hours straight.

what i would like to know when watching games is info on the other player, his positioning, health, what weapons he has, etc...
try to give some insight on what are his plans, what he needs to do to take the control back, or to keep control,...
cause as a spectator you only get to see one POV, and i think casters should be able to have both POVS and convey that information to broader audience.

i don't need to hear: he just took the RA/MEGA/YA, or RA and MEGA are spawning at the same time, cause i see that info on the screen, and i see and know when a player hits an insane shot, try not to scream so much when something like that happens.

to specs: STOP ASKING if it's BO3, BO5, IT'S WRITTEN ON THE SCREEN, ABOUT TIME TO REMEMBER THAT!!!

also i think spec hud needs some major changes, but that's another topic altogether, really don't see the point of having player names written 3 times on screen (with facey overlays)

Exactly, that's why I like zoot+ins combo so much - ins does great job following second player (POV) and giving such insights as i.e.
- "player B doesn't have this weapon, so he can't do that / go there now, he should probably do that and that".
- "player B is at X health points after that fight and he doesn't have time on item Y, so he's in quite a bad situtation" etc.

Exactly! Having two commentators watch the opposite parts and give us brief insights on what is going on and what player's intentions most likely are would make it just a pleasant experience for spectators! This might bring us a note of intrigue based on intense guesswork.

when i get home im timestamping the highlight of the day... a sick frag at the RA pillars in T7 (by cypher or cooller, cant remember)... stay tuned!
