True, although objectively all his threads are completely inane. They could even be called "Spam" as far as I'm concerned.

zhu seeming arrogant and self-centered and his threads seeming inane to you doesn't make him a bad person or deserving of banishment. i understand that you prefer not to deal with zhu, and i don't contest the validity of your feelings and how you value those feelings.

I agree but judging if someone is a bad person is not asked from an admin, as this is impossible anyway. Admins should check the site regularly for compliance with posting guidelines. If zhu has not violated those guidelines in your view, I would again agree, but it seems to come up on the site quite often and should be paid attention to.

esr doesn't really work that way. it's not my job to check on the site regularly for compliance with posting guidelines. this isn't a company with explicit rules. it's a community with guidelines, and admins have discretion to make editorial decisions if, in the process of their regular use of the site, they notice something inappropriate that they feel should be addressed.

as far as paying attention to zhu, i think that's already being done by esr's very own george zimmerman, [mash].

Everyone has dropped a keyboard and seen a key jam, and seen a load of characters fly over the screen until you pick it up.

I can't help it if the f5 key jammed which refreshed the web page and influenced the hit counter. Its hardly an elaborate combination and after 10+ years and over 20k of posts, an accident from time to time seems inevitable.

Secondly, I have made dozens of threads with no such history of this, yet the second it happens once, you want to cast doubt and blame me for cheating.

The whole world can see how you just accused someone of doing something maliciously which was entirely explainable (and statistically not that hard to replicate) and there was no previous correlations of similar actions on my part to imply what I had done was some kind of typical outcome. It was a one off after over 10 years and 20k of posts.

The whole world has also just seen that when you are faced with a valid explanation that universally counters your attempts at misrepresentation, you get angry and try and throw the mental health card around in an attempt to try and overthrow the individual in the futile hope it encapsulates the finer points of discussions that you're unable to make.

You also choose to speak on behalf the entire readership of a site with a 1000's of users and project your opinion as theirs as you struggle to get the outcome you want.
