XL2420T has slower and older panel, only supports 120hz(asus does 144hz) and doesnt have adjustable overdrive, it's AMA ON is really agressive and brings a lot of trailing/ghosting after moving objects
Interesting to hear, although I'm not sure i agree with your comment about pricing: the vg248qe is around $270+tax+shipping, while the XL2420T is about $230 total, so around 15% cheaper. Granted, you did say around the same price :)
In any case, I'll post some details about how I like it when the Benq shows up on Monday.
After reading the Benq listing more closely, I'm actually hesitant to think that this is a refurbished unit - when you look at the Benq Outlet store, there's a separate and distinct link to a "true" refurbished XL2420T unit, which is priced much cheaper (approx. $100 less). That makes me think the one I linked in this original post is a lightly-used tournament monitor, while the "true" refurbished unit has been refurbished in the traditional sense. I've emailed Benq to confirm.
Confirmed - the one i link in this post is NOT refurbished, and has simply been used as a demo unit at an MLG tournament. It comes with a 90 day warranty in case there are any defects/issues.
craigslist. people give them away for free all the time in my area because they just want to get rid of them quick. you probably going to have to pick it up though.
