When i was in school this kid called raymond wound me up all day, he told me he could beat me at street fighter over and over until I caved in and allowed him to come home after school and play.

I wiped the floor with him, at the end of the night he said, I just wanted to play for free and i knew I could not win but telling you I could beat you would get what I wanted because I knew how to play me like a fiddle. That night, I won the battle, but I lost the war as the victory meant nothing cos he was shite' and he tricked me. He got everything he wanted at my expense. He wanted to be affiliated with me and to play my super nes cos he was a poor scrub. Mostly, he used my competitive spirit against me, and I learned a valid lesson that night.

You are trying to do the same thing (cept' you're a man in child's mind), you're trying to play on peoples elitist competitive spirit to allow you an opportunity to cleanse the recent stigma that encapsulated you.

And I just wrecked it for you just in case anyone dared to be moved by your BS :)

Great story. I'm sure many of us have experienced something similar to this in our lives. How would you have handled the situation if Raymond said "Hey, you're good at Street Fighter, and I don't have a Super NES at home, can I play with you?"

I honestly think that no one dares to take your challenge, they will play the "you cheated in the past/banned"/whatever excuse to back out. Especially if you challenge the type of player that lives on old merits.
