tbh I was trying to make it com_maxfps 50. I don't stream 125 FPS so I don't need the game to give me so many frames :)

Oh, does it have a bigger load on the pc if you just play the game at more fps than you stream? I see hal streaming a lot, I doubt he's doing it at anything other than 125 fps.

When hal is streaming, he has it at 125fps coz he plays like that. his viewers wont see 125fps, they'll see the fps he has on stream. When I'm streaming im usually not playing, so having ingame 125fps makes no sense at all

Well, perhaps HAL is streaming himself playing, then 125 fps feels much smoother for him, which is important. The 'smoothness' for viewer is lost during streaming anyway.

this was rather boring to watch since everybody except HAL seemed to be totally out of shape (not gauging this by their looses against zoin, but the lack of aim and especially movement)

didnt really help that zotos stream config was a horrible sight and he went stubborn mode when people asked for basic things like uping r_gamma. i really wish he invests a few minutes beforehand to get a config like from the trailer posted at http://playmorepromode.org/
especially aerowalk was pure eyebleed :(

but the worst of all really was that faggot abusing his WH to lay down perfect placed +rockets and making it to the finals in the process. have you ever seen him caught offguard? have you ever seen him shooting rockets to the wrong place? have you ever seen him falling for a doubleback? have you ever seen him falling for a long distance rail?
i guess the amount of bad moves, wrong decisions etc is way higher in cpma than QL due to the pace of the game. still he made no mistakes ever and it beeing so obvious and the games so stupid as a result was just the ice caking to a bad viewers experience (atleast mine)

Actually I changed the gamma as I saw people speaking of it. What I didn't do is change a multitude of video settings that really make very little difference to anyones viewing experience.

I actually spent an hour+ before the stream even started sorting out settings for the stream on cpma. And before people asked to change the vertex light and all kinds of rubbish, it was actually very watchable.

I don't ever use picmip on my QL streams, and CPMA certainly won't make that an exception.

ive started watching somewhere in the quarterfinals when you just switched vertexlightning. it went from "no shadows" uglyness to "ohai moonless night" on aerowalk. no idea what you changed or didnt change towards the end and i totally dont want to troll here...
but for me the viewing experience was poor, unlike your QL settings which i like a lot. main reasons where: huge jumps in brightness levels from map to map (this is mostly an issue of low r_overbrightbits and r_mapoverbrightbits imo) and i had problems to register hits (i think you had some health deficit crosshair ontop of the usual?) this is better in your QL settings as the xhair is more present, thicker and has a better behavior colorwise.

not evurr going so say something bad about your picmip, the game simply looks better that way and in the end i wouldnt want every bypassing twitch viewer think "wtf is this sh**?" i just think that with high res textures every other aspect of gfx settings becomes even more important. the video from playpromode.org i merely pointed to as a referance for brightnesslevels

FPS were horrible.

vertex only looks decent enough with high picmip. It's either that or not using vertex.
