question to the admins and to the rest of the people as well. if for example i'd start creating 3 threads a week about me (and you can easily assume it would be of more substance, but still of no value whatsoever) would it be ok? threads like 'super_koziol has a giant dump', or ,super_koziol goes and gets some groceries'. Maybe 'super_koziol is a beast at quake and totally not fucking lame as zhu'? eh? it's not actually his fault he's like this... he's got issues and needs pointing in the right direction. blunt "fuck off zhu" comments will only make him do it more.

You can't help him unless you have direct, face to face contact with him for a period of time. And since taking some distance from Quake and ESR might actually help him, telling him to fuck off can actually be a pointer in the right direction. ;)

I don't usually forgive cheaters, but he streamed most of his duels on his new account a while after being banned. It's obvious he's a decent player, who can play without cheats. Then he got banned again, which was fair, because he evaded his ban. But I think he's honest now. If he streams his online games, and goes on LANs, why couldn't he play? It's as if he was on parole. He's watched all the time. If he cheats again, then it's over.

I think Zhu deserves a second chance.

If he was sorry he was would have confessed to cheating BEFORE he was caught.

If he was sorry he would have not tried to bypass the BAN.

That is not a sign of someone whose sorry. Sorry people feel guilt and remorse, unsorry people feel entitled to flout the punishment as he did.

Watch the dynamic of this fight. Loud mouth cockey starts to realise he's going to lose, and soon changes his character to benefit him in that situation, I bet the next day he was giving it large again.

there is something about fighting with another person that forms a bond. it isn't always the case, but sometimes when two people are trying to hurt each other there is a recognition of struggle and sport, rather than brutal violent intent.

anyway:

the point of being banned isn't to sculpt somebody's character into any particular view of goodness, but to enforce a policy of intolerance regarding breaking the game.

why does zhu being sorry, or the reason he is sorry, matter at all? do you think that zhu is incapable of recognizing the logic of:

if i cheat and i am caught, then i will be banned.

combined with:

i feel strongly about myself being great, and as great as i am i was still caught, therefore i cannot assume i will not be caught.

to make a decision that cheating is detrimental to his desire to play?

Its the way he's gone about it.

He got caught.

He then tried to circumvent that ban.

When he got caught again, he then made all sorts of weirdo videos.

When they did not work, he changed his entire personality on a tangent to what you see now, this sorta , hey guys, I'm so chilled I don't care. I'm a changed man.

Its all a bit Die Hard.

b)Then he tried another plan (to bypass the ban with other aliases/ip)
c)Then he started making videos when the aliases/ip did not work.
d)Then changed the tone of the videos when they did not work.
e) etc as there is no doubt more we don't know.

People who are sorry don't carry on for months or years going through options.

ZHU is at the end of his list of ideas, and the best outcome is to assume the mindset of the people who have power over him, people in charge generally want you to accept the state of mind they have, if you can demo that, you have a better chance.

But as I said, if you look at how long its taken him to get there, you'll see this is more than likely an act of desperation more than remorse.

The simple truth is he's tried EVERYTHING else to get back into the game, the behavior you see now, is the last thing he choose and only then becaue its his only way back in.
