I do think winz has a point with the higher chance at a comeback with timelimit 15.
But what would be a sensible mercylimit in duels?

Higher time limit offers more chances for the in control player to make a mistake, it's quite logical but I am not sure if it is good.

Frag limit as well as frag distance would depend a lot on the map, I don't think it's realistic..

I'd sure like to see Winz come back to the duel scene. It's unfortunate that something small like timelimit that EVERYONE has to deal with is what keeps him from playing and enjoying it.

Vo0 made a good point about timelimit on his stream.

He was debating a higher timelimit against having to play BO5 or BO7 matches, which would be absolutely grueling at 15 minutes each game.

There is a good point to be made that higher timelimit allows for comebacks, but our current timelimit allows tournaments to have BO5 or even BO7 and not have it lasting almost 2 hours for a finals. With TL15, you'd probably have to go back to BO3 with the occasional BO5.

And with TL10 it's much, much easier to spectate long cups, like facey or kwakcon.

We all know TL15 produces better matches though, so it's a sacrifice.

from a spectator point of view I'd much rather have tl 10 games than tl15.

As a player I'm fairly neutral to it.... I personally like the tl 15 games more as you can take a comeback slower..... like if you're down by 5-10 you don't have to take any immediate risk to get back but you can just build back up and then win in the last few mins.
But I kinda like the having to take risks part ;)

It’s in my opinion impossible to like that game (Shootmania) as a Quake player, it is inferior in EVERY way and is an insult to esports, to what FPS used to be and to what FPS should be in a competitive environment.

Afaik he will play zero4, if he wins that he will go on to play dahang for a spot against rapha in the final. Coming from lb he will be down 1 map in the bo5 final if he manage to make it there.

Winz is one of my all-time favourite Quake players. The guy is incredibly skilled and I always enjoy watching games from his POV, awesome style [Speed, Aim, Agression].

Guy is seriously underrated, so I'm pretty happy this interview happened. Guy deserves more respect from the community.
