What in your opinion makes t7 unbalanced? I know it can be hitscan heavy but I too think it is one of the more balanced maps.

I think it's the spawns that ruin what could have been a great map. First of all the starting spawns can be horrible. Often 1 guy spawns in the railgun room, the other guy spawns in the RA room. Once he gets the RA, he sees the other player got railgun spawn, and can now continue to get pretty much everything else on the map. Also there are rediculous starting spawn combo's, like when one player spawns at the plasma RA and other player at shotgun RA. The guy with the plasma spawn can take RA, deal some plasma damage straight away, and take pretty much every other item on the map. This combination is quite rare though, but sadly enough it happens.

But aside from the starting spawns, you can actualy get fucked mid game as well. When you find yourself completly out of control, sometimes you decide to slowly stack up on YA's, and then go for an attack in the MH room. When stacked enough, you engage in a fight. You know you will die, but at least you can deal enough damage, leave the enemy low. 75% of the times you respawn in the RA room, can take the RA and work from there. But 25% of the times you get the nasty GL spawn. The oponent is now faster to RA than you, and he can stack back up. Now u wasted 2 minutes and it could be too late to come back. Exactly the same situation happens when you take this fight in the railroom, hoping to respawn in the MH room and take it, but there is a small chance u get the shotgun RA spawn, and again 2 minutes wasted.

You're kind of suggesting that we just give the guy who engages in and loses the take-back-control fight free 100/150 or 200/50 for trying hard.

The fact is on t7 you have the best chance of taking back control after dealing a ton of damage because of the chokepoints between RA and MH.

You miss the point. I'm not saying we should just give him 100/150 or 200/50. It's just what happens 75% of the time in this certain situations. However, in 25% of the cases you will spawn at a shit spawn and get absolutely nothing, instead of what could have been 100/150 and guns.

I frag guard in the MH room. At this point guard knows he has a 75% chance to get a spawn in the RA room, gets RA and guns before I can kill him. He did exactly this, and managed to win the match.

However, there was a 25% chance that guard would have spawned at the GL, which would mean I would get the RA and could then hunt him down easily. And he would not have a chance to win this map. At the very moment you get this GL spawn u know u need at least another 2 minutes to stack up, which could've been totaly diffrent if u just got that RA spawn. This stuff happens alot sadly. On other maps there's not so often a huge diffrence in spawn A or B.

Similar stuff can happen on aero. Let's say you've just dealt 200 damage out of control at GL/YA and the guy has about 50 stack left. Now you can:

a) spawn on red - 125/100 and LG
b) spawn between upper RL and RA - lots of options to choose from
c) spawn on lower RL - GA for granted, decent weapons and position on red
d) spawn near the jumppad, collect a delicious 50 LG ammopack and a rocket to the face.

Also you can spend an eternity being trapped on the YA side because of spawns.

I like aerowalk despite the above and want to marry it, but seriously, spawns are the least painful precisely on t7. Comebacks are the most frequent there, if I had to pick one map off the top of my head.

You view 3:4 odds of getting a good spawn as not enough, I think it's about right.

I didn't make a big mistake. The only way to get on to that 25hp position in time was with a rocketjump, and since I was already on 45 health it was too risky. Everything would've worked out if I didn't miss that ez rail =p

Well, then why didnt you go more aggresive at the LG in the end of the 10minutes?

hah thats the reason why i think t7 is the shittiest map out of all the duel maps. suicide attack, leave enemy weak, get a good spawn, get an ez frag and full control. and it happens very often like you said

't7 itself' does not exist, because it's always played with a spawnsystem that just doesn't work with the map at all. Therefore I wouldn't say T7 is the best map. In my reply to Gienek above, I try to explain why the spawn system works worse on this map than others.

also playing and PLAYING are two different things... atm i just play and dont give too much attention to it...

not really... playing to improve requires much more time than 1-3 hours a day.... add at least another 1-3 hours to analise your demos

It's strenx's worst map. He has absolutely no idea what to do on it (even in control, aside of aimwhoring). There are lower rated players who beat him every time (like zsx) and the "top" players will pick the map against him for guaranteed wins.

Everyone has right to hate a map that doesn't suit his style (or in this case, ability). That doesn't mean the map is bad.

wonder what'd happen if they let the first RA spawn at 25 and the first mega at like 35 (or both at like 30 seconds).
Then you could jossle for position but no one has armour. Reduces the impact of spawns sort of. But weapon advantage. So rebalance spawns and give a starting 10 second immunity.

I thought of that but then whoever gets best weapon then gets RA at 25 and can move to mega for 35. Unless you meant random spawn time. That'd be cool but would remove an aspect from the players hands. He could get a lucky set of spawns.
Having both spawn at the same time allows for equal distribution or close enough. Better players could positionally interfere and cause dmg and scoop up the rest or vice versa.

I've been waiting for 20 minutes on dm13 server by now. Let's see how long it will take.

5 minutes later turkish guy with 100 ping joined, played warmup for few mins and quit. Still waiting.

It took like 30 mins but I eventually played few games there with Harps. Later I played this map in the faceit and I was really shaky there. It used to be my best map but I lost the routine :/
