I don't live as though I'm happy or sad, but as some situations cause chemical states in my body that I associate with being positive or beneficial, others to the contrary, in each direction to some degree.
Figuring out which situations cause the contrary can be difficult, but often they seem obvious after becoming aware of them. Maybe I should be thinking of what's obvious, rather than what might not be. Or isn't.
