It would also mean ql would continue to subsist with a small develolpment team, albeit with perhaps a few new employees as sync hinted, but certainly not enough to make any changes in its current state. not sure the negative press carmack and id have received of late can help save rage though. At this point i wouldn't be surprised if zenimax cut ties with id altogether after 2 failed games. If the rumor is true then it only confirms the lack of confidence we all had in ql as well. It's probably a good move for zenimax.

Zenimax owns id, so it's not like they are just teaming up. If Zenimax is that unhappy with them, they will likely just fire most of the employees, and merge it with Bethesda.

Not after those sales, the best thing idsoftware can do is make a doom 4 multiplayer game out of all the rage assets and get it out for xmas next year.

A source claiming to be close to the publishers..... almost stopped there,
but anyway, it doesn't really matter what game they will do next, they need to hire somebody finally who knows what makes a game good, (and an other one perhaps who does a better job at marketing).

This makes me so sad if it's true, an engine capable of gorgeous visuals, awesome weapons and one of the best control what PC gamers ever had, so much work and care...... still ends like this:(
