The Gamecube was such a well designed system, it was a fast, compact and a powerful little hardware and it had a very good controller. You could feel the care they put into that little box.

Nintendo killed it again later with the stupid third party policy like they did with the N64... and yes I know at least it's all changed with Wii, but I just cba to play with some weird bluetooth dildo.

Those 4 games alonegrossed around 18 million sales, I laugh my tits off when I see Rage selling like 800,000 and it taking a 200 dev team 6 years to make when those games had like 10-20 working on them, many of whom had never made a game before.

My first nintendo console was the N64 which is the best for me. I still play Mario Kart 64 with friends now and then. However, I loved the controler shape of the gamecube.
I spent loads of time playing with the gameboy too.

I had every system until the Wii and I pretty much loved all except the Virtual Boy.

Project64 and especially Dolphin looks amazing on modern computers, I play with them every week.

I also keep the Snes and Genesis emus installed (I even have the insanely expensive devcards ready on the shelf, I just don't have a parallel cable:D). I only play with them once in a month or even less (I played some Sonic and Metroid last week).

I prefer Dolphin and Pcsx2 nowadays

Playing shit on MAME with a fake controller is SO weak and never ever feels the same as having a real console.

Since you can cheat your ass off with MAME save states, but having it on console and pausing the game and shit for days was so awesome.

Chrono Trigger alone makes SNES one of the best consoles ever. But then you add Super Mario World and battletoads etc

MAME is an arcade emulator.

I'm pretty sure MAME has plugins for almost every conceivable system, or something like that, though I could be very wrong.

Theres an emulator called MESS which includes alot of systems and arcade.
