Based on what?

This would make sense if the maps in the mappool would somehow transfer to maps actually played. And yes, then three very simular maps would suck. But if you have a 7map-pool as well as map elimination there is no reason for 'a mix of maps you cant have 3 similair maps...'.
On the contrary, if you only have two fast paced maps, when both players eliminate 2/3 maps until the grand final, it means that most of the time no fast paced maps get played at all.
Besides the way it is right now, if you are not a fan of fast paced maps you can just not play them at all. While on the other hand you can't just drop t4, t7, dm13, ztn and bf

t4 , t7, dm13 and battleforged are so totally different from each other......

How is aerowalk similar to toxcity or hektik oO? Just because a a few maps are played quick it doesn't mean that they require the same approach/skills ...

ive played them enough that you have to be fastpace and need raw aim to get frags thats what there very similair in.

The common sense of the community is that hektik is all rail which is completely wrong. Yeah a strong rail is key on this map but imo the map requires more positioning and timing than aim.There is a reason why k1llsen dislikes hektik and players like fazz, dahang and rapha are really strong on it.
Mistiming ra can cost you the control. So yeah hektik and aero might be both fast maps but they need a totally different approach and skillset.
Btw. the whole aim thing is bullshit because you see pros such as k1llsen spawnraping and outaiming rapha on ztn, strenx controlling dm13 only due to his rediculous lg and rail aimers raping on t4.
I don't really care whether hektik or t4 is in but I just don't like the fact that everyone is calling hektik a similar map to aerowalk ...

Have I said about t4 being rail only? If your rail aim sucks you are forced to either control the rail or stick to the mid. But not everyone can play t4 like cooller and rapha denying rail for a couple of minutes.

What criteria do you use for comparing the maps? Hub, hektik and toxicity look nothing alike, have completely different areas and item placements.
What they are simular in is size and pace. And exactly the same goes for t7/dm13/bf/ztn (ok to be fair t4 is quite different).

I think it's funny how people always comment at how dm13 and t4 and ztn should be taken out of the pool. They're old maps, but as a dueler, watching top-tier gameplay on these maps is always something new. I never see a game play exactly the same between two people, and with t4 it's always fun to watch the movement and angles that rails are hit. Turn off the casters, put on your favorite song, and the games become a shit-ton better (unless it's 2GD).

But I am not back. I would, but I am playing with notebook (notebooks 15' too laggy screen for QL..). For last cups bringged crt, but without playing ql at all, just in cups few games, I suck a lot. I don't use crt everyday (bad for eyes) and it's to big to stay in my pc room. Hope I will get good LCD and will play more again.

Well, dare I say it but I think bloody warriors put on a better stream today.

They had two english speaking casters (in comparison to none) after having a vote on irc to see how many non german speakers were watching. Props for that.

They started streaming at the very start of the tourney unlike lvl

I also think that their stream video quality was better too; the lvl team lagged and froze several times for me which was very annoying and the bw stream didnt lag once. I don't know whether it was the low picmip cfg lvl were using but it felt laggier than the bw stream when it both were working properly.

So a big thumbs-up from me, job well done! :)

the bw stream could have more fps though.

That would be nice, but for me no stream will be as good as GTV; the most important thing is to have minimal lag+blur and once the the fps is over a certain threshold it doesnt really make much of a difference to me :)

Well stream ran at 45 fps 2mb 720p today, I guess you couldn't enjoy it on "best" setting due to routing issues (which i'm working with Justin to improve).

As for no casters, well nVc is currently gay-ing it up in brink trying to go all pro and shit. ischju was not available and zsx had ppl around and couldn't do it

I presume that must have been the case as your streams have always been nothing short of top notch, video quality wise :)

I didn't mean to portray the above comment as a put-me-down to you folks at lvl, was just wanting to post how good a job I thought the bw guys did. I would consider it the ultimate complement to you folks at lvl that all QL streams are compared to yourselves as you guys are the "benchmark" (and have an excellent suite of casters to boot).

Are you going to DH again? Really hope to see lvl streaming there again :)

We moved to Justin due to several reasons which I won't list here, because frankly there is no need to have them publicized :) We had to make a decision at a certain point and this was it.

As for Dreamhack, yes but in a slightly different way. Details to follow soon.
