This guy wasn't a kid first of all, he was roughly my age, in his early twenty's. And you are right, young people do stupid shit all the time but guess what, some draw the line when there is a very perceivable risk of death - this guy ignored that.

My attitude also has nothing to do with keeping ourselves confined in safe rooms or whatever, yet it does have everything to do with personal responsibility. It was this young mans responsibility to ensure that he didn't risk losing his life, he did and once again, tragically payed the consequences.

He had no mental disorders. He was simply in the plank position on his balcony and fell off during, most likely whilst trying to get down.

This is where i disagree, you can't say he was an idiot and payed the consequences without knowing the background and the story in depth. Its not really his fault that he is stupid is it. Everything is somewhat determined, so you can't really judge what is a person's fault and what is not. You can judge the person as a whole.

TBH this is an ideal opportunity to kill someone by throwing them out of your apartment then claiming they were planking. If they've ever actually done any planking and you have evidence then you've got a solid alibi.
