partial synopsis:
noctis (pov) -vs- strenx on dm6 / zotac cup final from last summer iirc

noctis is down 6 frags and tries to come back with some nice actions, misses mh by 1 or 2 seconds out of control, does nice dmg at times - rapha says he's playing the usual way to keep out of sight (esp. with the big shaft of strenx), doing dmg without taking some and wait for a situation when mh and ra spawn at the same/close times

noctis finally lands frags/they kill each other. even if noctis is killed he can make good of it with a good spawn and strenx low. noctis is in control and manages to get even into the lead after 10 min in overtime - strenx does big dmg after almost every kill tho and the only rescue are a few very well placed rockets. rapha makes a interesting remark after a question: "strenx might be a bit inexperienced", after being asked why he doesn't do too well in situations where he has to be defensive.

rapha about noctis:
he is up there. but he is too inconsistent comparable to k1llsen who finally managed to break through this year. we have seen that noctis can be top (like in dubai/gamescom 2009) - but he practiced prly more at that time.

rapha about dm6:
liked dm6 more and more. different playstyles become visible.

rapha about hektik:
dm6 is very control-heavy and the player in control can rack'em up - till the control swaps over to the other player. hektik is much like dm6 but even more so, the out of control player has no room to hide really.

first kill: he played very well for the situation that was given

next kill: "if i get him low enough - while the items spawn nearly at the same time - it is my chance"

then he tried to stick to that side of the map (mega, ra, ya) and do dmg when i come from lgg-ya
i finally get a kill tho and try to cut him off
I'm low but i know when things are spawning and i can control the map
he may be able to run away from me now, but I achieved what I wanted and get back into the map and rack'some up

i wanted him to not take that ya, but he knows I will leave for another item at some point and he was patient
he wanted to do some dmg, but too agressive in my opinion, a bit lucky to not take another rocket

he needed rockets and tried to go there when I wasn't close by (rapha @ mh/ra)
he just did so much dmg and survived with 11 hp and picks up mh after fragging rapha

careful he does damage here, but he is very agressive and takes much dmg from my rockets

He did a good job of being just so awkward and unique

He has control but I've got a good chance to send this to another overtime
I wasn't trying to get another kill - it was too risky - only trying to even it out now
He is at mega 2nd time in a row - what I have done is getting an armor and I'm probably at 100 maybe 75 armor and I'm trying to work my way around the other one.
Successfully done without any dmg
I did pretty decent and I know the mega time because I did dmg there.
And that was my main focus going into the next overtime period.
Because most players get too nervous and forget.
So I wanted to make sure I get it. We'll see if it's a successful steal here. And judging by the way he is moving around I think it was.
So I've got mega in my hands and we're jsut about the same and it's about who has the better first attack now.
AND HE HAS. He did, he rushed in at the perfect time.

So it was that shotgun stunt that turned this map really?

He does have a point with the SG thought his aim was off not to discredit Stermys dodge but from a statistic point of view Rapha should of won that fight.

strenx lost it imo. He didn't run correctly with the aim he had, all you gotta do is +back and wait with lg and its over.

Noctis hit a critical rail kill to take back the map - then a rocket fight at mega to keep it. Strenx was newb back then.

Noctis would get wtfraped if he played strenx right now though.

Rapha just makes me go 'iknorite?' when he talks cuz he says the same shit i think.

I've really got mixed feelings about this.

On one hand it's very good to have this on a regular basis and I'm thankfull for it and on the other hand, there were ABSOLUTELY nothing changed about cfg and all the others things esr users commented for the first episode eventhough the "sk guy" read them.

As pointless as it is, i'll repeat the most important remarks :

- 125fps, keel, "cross"hair, a little more brightness for cfg
- A pause fonction so rapha can answer all the skguy's questions without losing track of the game (he didnt even remember he fall in lava on dm13) or comment deeper on some situations.

yea i'd also like them to leave the first 2mins or so for the introduction, at the moment they talk about the maps and players during the start of the map and they miss all the action.

the idea is great but the execution is really reallly bad

It's still the "old" batch of games, so don't complain ;] they'll change it for future episodes for sure.

The only thing that noctis didn't do was use his in-between time wisely, like waited 5-6 seconds at items for them to spawn instead of trying to set up a trap or having an escape route set up in case he got jumped. Maybe this was because he couldn't hear where strenx was and was nervous as shit, I don't know. Also he didn't use grens wisely enough. Grens are great for retaking this map, especially vs shaft gaylords, since a nicely placed grenade takes away their position for them to set up an easy lg track, allowing you to jump down with a rocket in their face and fight them off.

But still, strenx fucked it up again, he kept fighting noctis with lg when he was out of control - instead of railing him first then following up with lg rush or just rocket spam... he underestimated noctis or over estimated his lg.

I'd hate to be critical, but if you're going to ask Shane about things like maps and play styles, do it before the game starts. You should still ask him those questions, but before the game starts :)

Dm6 is ppl favourite no matter what some pros think. Removing the favourite map is just plain wrong. It’s like an id move and therefore we shouldn’t always blame id, since we do stupid moves like this ourselves too.

And yes, new maps are good. Why we don’t keep all maps. I am sure most of the tourney players know how to play dm6, ztn, dm13, t4, t7, t9, aero and hektik. Even maybe battleforged, dismemberment and almost lost.

but I wish you success on the video conversion, I can recommend virtualdub for making an avi from the screenshots. ;)
as for getting the audiotrack, you can normally just put the video in adboe premiere and it shold offer you to use the audio. I think you can rip it in virtualdub, too though.
