Indeed. Trying too hard usually fucks up the result.

The beginning was hilarious, over the top action "I´ll just give a warning shot!". Arnolds appearance was surprising, but weak. The rest was alright, expected from that cast, but the semi-romantic content and the suffer from the tattooer didn´t fit in the pace of the movie. these fragments seems, as if it was implemented in the last-minute, since it´s a "must die for something good" reason, explained for the last naive not-self-thinking viewer, which does not feel right. But we aren´t going into this movie, to think alot, we want to get entertained, get action, raw unexplained action - and if they have any reasons to be shown to the audience, then yeah it doesn´t have to be that serious.
