He was more of a tactician. You can see that as better if you like, but even though he's won more races and championships, most people generally believe Senna was the best (perhaps because he was cut short in his prime and could have easily won more)

That's funny considering that the '92 and '93 seasons probably had the most driver aids of all formula one seasons. Active ride height, active suspension, traction control etc. The aerodynamics were just less developed, which is just a progression over time plus technology.

It's natural evolution. Either F1 is the pinnacle of motor-sport with the most technologically advanced cars, or it's a spectator sport with strict regulations to make the teams more evenly matched.

Different people view F1 as different things. Ideally you'd have a mix of both, but that's just not possible because there will always be someone complaining about an innovation (like witch hunts against mass dampers, double diffusers, ride-height control, F-ducts etc)

It's shameful to say, but that tobacco advertising colours looked great. Maybe it's just because as kid I was a Damon Hill fan. That plus they had little sonic feet on the side (epic)

The new Lotus actually looks pretty good. One of the better cars from this year. This year's McLaren, Ferrari, Sauber and Lotus are some of the better cars. The Hispania's are horrible, Virgin's look like something out of IndyCar, Renault looks like a wasp (although it's still better then last years), Williams looks dull as it's previous few years and the Mercedes could have been so nice had it not have been for the Silver/turquoise colour scheme (I mean seriously... I know they're sponsors, but TURQUOISE)

Haven't watched F1 in ages, decided to watch a little today. Man Ferrari looks ATROCIOUS. and whats with those tiny rear spoilers? Is that because of regulations? It looks pretty weird/bad.

And I agree that the tobacco color schemes of the past were awesome. My favorite is the red white Marlboro mclaren from the senna prost era. At some point they had to remove the Marlboro stickers from the cars, but I think they looked better with them TBH :]

The f10 was probably best looking in pre-season testing but they gradually make it uglier over time. Sharkfin covers, weird spoilers, blerg.

Noticed, though, that the nicest looking cars are low nosed? I love low nosed high rear old school designs. I wish some daring designer would go back to this.

Brawn kinda did last year to a certain extent. At least lower then most people do. Probably looked the best out of all the cars as well funnily enough :P

that was one boring race. i'm really getting fed-up of back-markers having to pretty much stop on the circuit to let the faster cars through. surely there could be a lot more excitement if they had to make their own way past.

the thing is that you will get problem with team tactics. One guy letting his teammate pass easily and blocking the rest.

Yep, I fell asleep. Though it was dry and may be a forecast for other dry races, Bahrain and Barcelona have always been pretty dull racing, so I'm not worried just yet. Malaysia was relatively dry and that was a great race

When I was 5, my grandparents got a dog and named it Senna cause they both liked Ayrton. One morning my parents casually said over breakfast, "oh yeah, Senna died. Tragic" and they couldn't believe I started crying because they forgot about that stupid dog!
