I don't know but there seems to be all kinds of disconnect errors going around since the last update. I've never had any problems until recently ("Connection Interrupted" and then never comes back).

Occassionally, I'll get the "Connection Interrupted" msg when a phone call comes in (I'm on DSL), which also never started happening until lately.

its not a disconnect error that i'm getting.

its a freeze of quake live and my pc as well.

do you have any other programs running in the background? If my computer starts a scheduled virus scan or something, it sometimes causes things ilke this, for example.

Submerge your computer in water, that usually does the trick for me! = )

I've had that problem as well, and still do every once in a while.
There used to be a thread on the qlive forums about it; last time I checked it had like over 500 responses.
The causes seem to be many, and vary from problems with Vista/Win7 to PB to driver issues. I also don't think id's actively looking to solve the issue, so don't hold your breath.
From what I remember, there's wasn't any real solution. Only thing I've found (from the forums) was to create a desktop shortcut with the following: C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "firefox.exe" /HIGH "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" "http://www.quakelive.com/"

No idea how or why, but that helped a bit. Try it out and see. Good luck.

I got a similar problem, for me it seems like there's a memory leak.. After a while of playing firefox takes like 1.5gb of memory and then crashes. Tho the computer do not freeze completely.

I've tried to uninstall all other plugins and running on a fresh firefox but problem still there, quite annoying.

Check if the size of your browser process is increasing when playing.

Try setting r_enablepostprocess to 0. It caused a mem leak for me (and others). Don't have this problem on my Linux box anymore though,
