I think I was the one who uploaded it to google video, but they recently removed all the Quake videos I uploaded. Was like 5gb+ of videos that took forever to upload. =(

got the 559 mb version (720x480 @ 50 fps)
is that the hq one? could upload it i guess...
what hoster would be best for such a big file?

Few words about "SQF in action",

This movie was made by Peyo (a french q3 player) and first released in June 2005.

Only the Low/Medium Quality (~560 MB) was released... In fact Peyo told us that he will work on a HQ release, but it never happened. :-/

A little anecdote, after 6 months of work and just 2 days before the end of the creation of the movie, Peyo's Hard Drive crashed. He lost everything (crying on IRC about this disaster).

In fact the power plug of the HardDrive was just disconnected (Peyo used to put some "oil" on the plug of its drives to allow him to connect/disconnect them easily when needed. But it seemed that was too easily removable even without doing nothing :-)

A 2nd chapter " SQF in action² " was made by Link1n and Mdoo in 2007.

just out of curiosity whats the french scene like now? they seem to have had a really good ctf scene in q3. some classic movies including these 2 and lyon connection.

The French quake scene still relatively strong today.

Of course players like Thefou, SaintGerma1n, Raoul, Appleseed... don't play anymore (back to 2003-2006 FRA was on the top, especially in CTF with a clan like aAa).

Now, players like Strenx, Link1n (+ Unity, Kirua and so on..) still there (and they already proven by winning the last Nation Cup TDM that France still strong in TeamPlay mods).

Of course there is less ppl playing now than 4-8 years ago.

Bittersweet nostalgia. It's almost depressing how much I miss this game. I hope a similar game can fill the void of such a timeless legacy in the future.
