This AGP Classics Match of the Week features a nation vs nation game from ESWC 2004.

Russia vs USA: The structure of this tournament grouped players of the same country against other countries. They would play a best of three set, one player per game. The winner of the finals won $10,000, to be split amongst the team.

This game contains two of the best players of all time, the winner decided in the final seconds, SUDDEN DEATH OT!

watched it live just behind players, amazing game. I remember Cooller played dm6 without rail for almost whole game, while z4 was mostly +back with rail. Then finally Cooller took the rail and kicked z4s ass :) GG

Cooller plays almost the entire game without a railgun, and then pulls one out in the last minute and hits an impressive to frag z4 and level the game!

ehh, usually I enjoy oldschool demos, but I can't say I enjoyed this one. Couldn't keep up the score due to gtv so I didn't even know he tied up right before the end, and it all felt so slow & dodgy. Today's cooller is much more enjoyable for sure.

That rail from YA was pretty crazy though.

Anyone remembers that DM6 game from a recent asus cup where cooller tried to "prove" something by playing without rail the whole map? He lost though lol. Think it was vs Cypher?

This event was really fun to watch. Something about the nations-dueling format was fantastic, though for some of the really good players from unfortunately bad countries kind of get screwed.

Pretty nice game overall. Tactics were very good, cooller surprising Zero4 on almost every corner by being there first and Zero4 avoiding a frag in the last seconds before OT.
