I would say that Carolina has the advantage in that they only have to win 2 games where Toronto has to win 3.

Toronto has been getting some seriously ridiculous bounces their way, but it's happened to every team clearly underqualified for such a placement before, and it will continue to happen: the luck runs out. Maybe the Leafs will find a way to win one or two more games, but winning this series is beyond realistic expectations. Carolina just flat-out doesn't make enough stupid mistakes a la NYI and Sens to allow the Leafs their only means of capitalizing. Unless the Canes suddenly start giving the puck away more than Roy, the Leafs are done.

BTW, it was bloody fantastic seeing the looks on the punk-ass Leaf fans last game. I was in the reds and absolutely glowing 6 minutes into OT. I was yelling out many obscenities at Joseph, quite fun. I even went and bought a Carolina jersey half an hour pre-game just to display that bandwagon-jumping to whatever team Toronto is facing is a primary weapon in the armory of any true Anti-Leaf Soldier!!!

Gah!!!! The Leafs second game was quite pathetic. I was really annoyed at how stupid they played especially at the end of the game taking STUPID penalties. But none the less they are still Canada's team.

Geeze! All i'd like to know is who is the bastard who is using voodoo magic on the Leafs. I mean, my allah. They get some players back then their freak'n coach Pat Quin gets some heart problem. As well they're leading goal scorer Alexander Mogilny gets injured and isn't able to produce. This is such BS.

Then there is game 3. That was some pathetic hockey by the Leafs. Stupid penalties, disorganized plays. I didn't really bother watching the overtime because I figured they would lose. The Leafs better dig deep for game 4, but they seem to do this without saying because they just seem to play their best when they're down. I don't think any Leaf fan should hit the panic button just yet. They're down by just one game. Same as in the Ottawa series. If the Leafs follow their playoff script thus far they should be win a game 4. But if they lose the next game I would say the series is over.

Ok Browny, you bring that Carolina Jersey and your hockey stick and we will run some good old street hockey. Prison rules! No one heckles the Leafs players and gets away with it. ME VS YOU in a game of street hockey.

The Leafs should of won this game! It doesn't make sense. What the hell happened to them!!!

They have been playing like an expansion team the last 3 games of this series. What caused this cursed turn around in their play. They were playing so freak'n well the first 2 series of the playoffs. They were playing with so much effort and determination and they were executing so well against Ottawa. Then out of nowhere they lost it. This makes no sense. They are taking STUPID penalties. They look so disorganized and confused out there. The Hurricanes aren't even playing that great or spectacular. Did I mention this makes no sense. Irbe isn't stealing the game either. All he has done well is not give that many rebounds but the Leafs are not even get any quality shots on him or getting any traffic infront of him. What's going on here? This makes no sense. That damn puck is just not going in that damn net for some reason. I don't get it. It's a conspiracy I tell you!

Irbe hasn't played amazing or spectacular that stole the game or the series thus far for the Hurricanes. Although he has played very solid and consistent. When he made that save on Hoglund I wasn't yelling at Irbe for robbing Hoglund, I was yelling at Hoglund for making such a lame shot. I mean all Irbe did was throw his body across the net and Hoglund shot the damn puck right on the big red bulleyes on Irbes flying body. All Hoglund had to do was put it top shelf or just hesitate a bit and let Irbe flop to the ground then top shelf. I mean pretty much the whole series the Leafs have been shooting at Irbe with as much authority as a little league hockey team. They try these pointless rap arounds where there is no room to sneak the puck in. There is no good puck movement through the neatral zone that sets up any quality chances or catches the Hurricanes off guard. And they have as much traffic infront of Irbe as their is in the Sahara Desert. And their powerplay is just as effective as a Catholic Priest practising celibacy. He hasn't really been challenged much the whole series. But he has played better then Cujo. But the sole blame can't really be placed Cujo. The whole Maple Leaf team has seem to gone into some funk for some reason. Just of out of the blue. Although it seems unlikely the Leafs will win this series now, I am still holding onto a glimmer of hope they'll come through.

And the reason they're losing is because reality has set in. The Leafs suck. They are a garbage team that has defied logic by making it this far, so it's only natural that balance is restored by having them eliminated now.
