Noctis is pretty awsome :) He just seems to take the piss out of highly skilled players. I'd like to see how he fairs up against Cypher, Jibo or Cooller. Of course, if they start playing more serious QL.

Just started dabbling with QL so thought I'd get back on here and see whats what and catch a few demos.

hm, well he was an 'online hero' someone who everyone thought would fail come LAN

he placed top 5 twice and had very close games vs the best players tho always fell just a touch short

thats the thing though, having close games vs the best and beating some good players is a different world to actually winning something. Experienced lan tourney players such as voo managed close games against the top players too, despite being complete shit @ online vQ3 (mainly due his lack of playtime granted).

noctis has done ok on lan but you still have to say the top online specialist players such as noctis and walter etc. have always been way overrated just like bozdo is now in ql now. Playing well online and winning countless fun tourneys means shit, come the big tourneys the best players will have stepped up their practice regime and playtime and that's where these heavy online players lose their advantage as without the sharpness advantage its so hard to compete vs the experience of the big time contenders, not saying he can't in the future though.

maybe winning those fun online tournaments mean shit because the good lan players never play in those?!

(EMS is like the only exception for that because of prizemoney and i don't see him winning that either)

maybe but I don't think noctis is lacking in raw skill and online with his his comfort zone setup and no pressure he is a monster and a match for almost anyone

the ems prize money isn't that huge, not sure how serious some of the players will take it, I think noctis has as much chance as anyone to win it

During that time noctis has probably been the #1 online q3 dueler in western/central europe. In big lan tourneys not so much, but hes done ok and has the potential to do even better.
