It's pretty good: it's entertaining, the plot is interesting, the alternate universe is well-thought-out, some of the watchmen are great characters (rorshack & dr. manhattan for example), and visually it's impressive. It still has some flaws though, the ending is a bit too long, and a bit frustrating (without spoiling it too much, imo it doesn't really solve much), and at times there's unnecessary violence.

It's utopian to think a simple alliance against a common foe is going to solve all the problems. See for example how long the alliance lasted during/after the 2nd world war.

after ww2 the common enemy was defeated.

They weren't exactly best friends even DURING ww2. See for example how the US and the USSR moved in Asia towards the end of the war.
Also, all the problems in the world can hardly be forgotten just because there's a common enemy :p

I just tought that the sex and some of the violence scenes didnt contributed nothing to the plot of the whole movie if they werent there it would have been the same movie without a pair or boobs tho those boobs rocked =D
