I don't mind it, but its hugely linear and I can see some very frustrating games at a pro level due to abusing the level design.

yeah, that's what I was thinking. For eu, he's most active. I'm guessing either fake_id or pv would be most active for NA ql.

You don't have to guess anything, the stats are there. 1o1 is the most active for both EU and NA. :)

i'd say all the nerfed guns make the games a lot more low scoring and prevent massive blow out games since it takes ages to kill someone and its a lot easier to get away after making a wrong choice somewhere.

all the nerfed guns? rail has been nerfed a bit but that's not the case with any other gun iirc. Specifically RL which is faster and does more damage.

lg is a ton weaker (which is probably one of the major reasons we dont see that many frags), rail does 80dmg, rockets are faster yes, direct hits still do 100dmg (not more) but splash dmg just got reduced in the last update, mg is also weaker.

if you don't hit a direct rocket forget about killing people who are armoured @ above 100. PG is the new close up weapon.

What are "all the guns" you're talking about? So rail dropped a few pts but it's still fucking 80, shaft is still plenty powerful, yes they've reduced RL splash from earlier updates but it still does more damage than in Q3 along with being faster. SG is more efficient and MG dg is distance related(5-6-7?). Not mentioning PG/CG which aren't nerfed by any measure. Really don't buy that its harder to kill in QL than in Q3.

lg is brutally nerfed, and this does the range based dmg, not mg. its 7 close, 6 middle, 5dmg in ql, it was 8-8-8 in q3. thats a huge difference imho. and mg does 5mg at every range. 20hp aint just a few points either imho. CG aint on any sane map, PG is still the same, yes, prolly a lot more usefull now tho. And ye SG has also climed up quite a bit in the weapuse %.

you're right, that damage-distance thing is LG not MG. MG is 5, as it also is in Q3. In any case only two ridiculously overpowered weapons have been slightly nerfed, some others have been upped in either speed accuracy or damage.

didnt watched demos, but i know spartie didnt played lot ql and even more before cup (just 1 day), so if he managed to win, it`s show how low are skill of QL players :P but ofcors QL = 80% of q3, so.. :)

spartie is one of the top 5 quake3 players now, does that mean because he didn't practice much before an event the ql skills of the players are low?

He's from Q2, but he was very far away from being the best in pl, then he picked up QL right from the start and is playing it all the time, it seems.

how do i open the console in ql?

I tried changing seta com_allowConsole in repconfig to "1" but everything i changed in both repconfig and qzconfig is switched back to default after i'm changing it.

create a autoexec.cfg in your folder with the 2 ql config files.

put in the autoexec.cfg the line: seta com_allowConsole "1" and then will the console work.

thx but im really infamiliar with quake and how to configure things in the game, seems quite complicated for me... is there any chance to get a good made cfg and just change keybinds etc? :P
