does "1 lager" mean "1 in stock" ? I calculated that it would be about 25 euros for the product if it was to be send to sweden, so I guess I could get it for less than 50 in total

btw, the image shows this isnt a steelseries ed. and is "matte" instead of "glossy". Weird, I didnt know MS also made black ones

with the last two being the best because they both have glossy surfaces for a better grip imo

there are two black versions of this mouse on market:

the first one is the oem-version which you can find on ebay often. the second one is the steelseries-version which is sold out and extremly sought after (better surface -> better grip); really expensive compared to the oem. there are a lot of fakes from asia on the market, so pay attention, if you want to get one.

The SS mice are super hard to find (The Microsoft ones)

I was in the market for a SS IE 3.0, and I couldn't find one anywhere. They have maybe TWO on eBay, easily over $100.

I wish SS would re-release them =(

i have a sealed one :) but would recommend only the 1.1 ss, because the surface of the 3.0 ss isn't completely glossy. the place where you put your thumb on the mouse (imo the most important place to have good grip) wasn't worked on by ss ;(

so you recommend to use a whole different shape, just for its coating? :P

of course, not. when you are pleased with the original coating so stay with it.


i think the 3.0 ss isn't worth over $100; just get the microsoft one for 20eur. 1.1 ss is a different story :)

i mean... 3.0 isnt the IntelliMouse Optical but the IntelliMouse Explorer, a whole different mouse. same tech, but whole different body (a-symetric).

(you're not thinking that 3.0 is a upgraded version of 1.1a is it?)

Yeah I currently have the Microsoft one. If I could of found the SS one cheaper I would of gotten it, but $100 for a mouse is pretty steep =)

today i got following response after i asked about a re-release of IMO 1.1 SS in january:

"This mouse was made in limited edition and we do not
replenish anymore."

Anyone else with a suggestion? I refuse to pay 3 times the price someone else bought it for.

If anyone is interested; in my search I did find the IME3.0 and WMO in black here in The Netherlands (IMO1.1 bulk/retail only in white).

could be, but they have also have the IME4.0 in their list, so that would mean its double in their list with different a prices

painting it myself would be a last resort, I'd be scared to damage the thing or screw it up with the paint. But I might give it a try with one of my older ones
