Those of you who want to complain about Counter-Strike can stop reading now. Those of you who know Andreas "bds" Thorstensson, the coder of the good old "biohazard" XSReality site, may be find the interview below interesting.
The Swede became an influential figure in CS after he brought in his team to SK Gaming and went on to build the most successful lineup in the game's history. Today he runs SK together with Alex "TheSlash" Mueller. In the interview, he talks about this, the '08 team and esports in general.
gonna watch it later. i liked geekboys and sogamed. the beginning of the SK.swe era was awesome. but imo they took the wrong direction with their Insider-stuff and all my sympathy went downhill after that.
Hate me all you want, but I think bds is one of the wisest people in professional gaming. People with lots of influence in the scene that is. He (amongst other people in SK) has built a long lasting, superb gaming organization and a really popular gaming site, which I'd rate the best scene site in the world, especially when it comes to coverage. Getting Carmac on board made it even better :)
Great interview Carmac.
Though i think that you overdid the "fast forward thing" during the music parts where you zoomed in on the eyes a bit. I dont mind the music, its good, but you made him look very nervous, and it just seemed like an unnessary t hing to do.
Other than that, It was great, and BDS always seemed like one of the good guys. Someone who really understands the player community. Also since said he wanted a really good deathmatch 1v1 game in e-sport, more power to him!
