WHY? With 1:1 odds. Why even bet.

Why not set the odds like Sujoy explained. Make the total probabilities equal 1. So in this case set them both to .5

I see that they total 1 but, come on.

Or I could put money on cK and if they win, get nothing.

Sounds fair.

Why even make a bet that, in order to win any money on the one team, a nice sum has to be put on the other team that will .. oh forget it.

I was informed by Sujoy to set bets to total 1.

So if there are 2 teams, set each to .5
If there are 4 set each to .25

Yeah cK is more than likely going to win, but why bet.....
They both have a 50% chance of winning. Even though cK is a bit better. The odds placed in the bet for probability is almost laughable if not worse.

well it would be pretty stupid to place a bet of 50-50 so those 5 guys that are up at the crack of dawn checking esports sites every two mins like myself get the 50% odds while the normal ppl get the 1.2 odds later today. the odds reflect imo what will happen....if anything throw some money on jp and take a chance...other then thtat you dont make a 50 50 bet on a game that is so one sided its not funny

Why make a bet "that is so one sided its not funny" in which the team that will 999 times out of 1000 win, will actually make you no money?

Competitive games = good fixtures
Walkovers with ludicrous odds = bad :)

Machine I will say honestly. Thank you. My day is now awesome. 5 hours of sleep and then getting called into work. But this is awesome. This makes my day worthwhile. Just wish I could try to make some money.

It may be stupid to make 50/50 odds for it, but how stupid is it to make it so that you cannot even make money on cK?

(I stand a tad bit corrected. You can make a LITTLE money on cK. If you place 1742 on cK, you will make 98)

This is basically a bet with one option... that is going to lose.

ok good question. because its the playoffs..im doing the fixture for all the res games..have been and will continue...i enjoy doing these while at work..gives me something to do other then work and its one sided for a reason because thats what the game will be like...im not gonna set a fixture to tend to you ppl...im settin it to the odds it should start at....if tyson fought tonya harding would vegas start the betting at 50 50 cause both teams could win ....newp!

No, but they would actually pay some money to those that bet on Tyson.

The only difference here is that they people that bet on jp are going to lose. And anyone that actually bets on cK, will not get anything.

Why not just delete this fixture and play water polo with a gonorhea infested mountain lion? That would be a better use of the energy.

first off i think your getting a little too upset over a fixture..im sorry the odds arent what you want but i think your also being alittle immature. I agree the fixture is kinda dumb...when i first made it i would have figured it would go ck 1.2 and jp 19 but it didnt..then when i was gonna change it someone had already placed a bet which would have imo made it unfair to go change the odds.

with that said..just bet on other fixtures...im sorry the odds arent what you want...and maybe this is a pointless fixture..but deal ...dont get all huffy over a fixture...you can make money off the other ones... if sujoy wants to take it into his own hands and change the odds so you make at least some money off this..thats fine...but imo I didnt think it was fair to change the odds after someone had already placed bets.../me walks away from this post now.

There was nothing technically wrong with the fixture. If the odds are not to your liking then you don't bet. That's how betting works. The odds that machine set were sensible given the fixture.

However what we should do in cases like this is create a spread bet so that the odds are more even. I'll do one for this match.

Yeah. I understand. It just blew me away. I was more so wondering why put the bet up if there was not much of a chance of winning anything. But it is no big deal.
