ALIEN?

Yep. Lots of the scenes in the film seem incredibly similar to scenes from Alien. I stumbled on this film by accident, thought it reminded me of Alien and googled. According to the wiki:

One of the film’s most celebrated sequences is when the astronauts perform an exploration of an alien, derelict ship discovered in a huge ruin on the surface of the planet. The crewmembers climb up into the depths of the eerie ship and discover the gigantic remains of long dead monstrous creatures. In 1979, Cinefantastique noted the remarkable similarities between this atmospheric sequence and a lengthy scene in the then-new Alien. The magazine also pointed out other minor parallels between the two films. However, both Alien’s director Ridley Scott and screenwriter Dan O'Bannon claimed at the time that they had never seen Planet of the Vampires.

So I'm not the first to think they're very similar. A lot of the shots as well as scenes seem to have been directly lifted to make Alien.

well I just can't recall anything good in that movie... not anything :D

yeah but there are a lot worse movies than this ;/ eventho i laughed the whole 2h of this. upside down logic and anthrax can't result in anything good.

Not seen it as i'm at work, but i think Alien is one of my all time favourite films.

I watched alien when I was 9, and it was a big mistake! It haunted me for months.... I also avoided eating salad for a while.

I made a bet with my sister, told her she wouldn't sit through the shining on her own at 4:00 am in the morning (she scares easy)

correct I was, even though it's literally 'fake suspense' if that's one way to put it :p

I watched all of the Guinea Pig-movies just the other day, and I shit you not, the worst scenes will haunt me for the rest of my life. =P Not that they are scary, they're just disgusting.

I also watched alien when i was far too young. I don't think i blinked at all thatnight, much less slept. But now I do like the movie.
