Ok so why? The reason why i ask and why i do so in such a tone is because Slasher / "PQ4" have said they wanted to release the original content with the anti-quake4 trend. So one has to ask, why did u edit it?

All videos are edited, or it would not be a smooth, flowing video. When you watch the news, for example CNN, they ask dozens of questions, and pick the 8-11 they want to be aired that go along with their mission statement. PQ is a community site for the game, other than the players who focus on hatred and want to see the game bashed, who wants to see Quake4 alienated. Whats the sense of running a site for the community if you are going to just stomp it into the ground.

CNN is an american news company, we've heard quite a bit about them in recent years
BBC News 24 hosts ENTIRE interviews LIVE, they may show clips on bbc1 news updates like at 10 but the interview is still shown in full on news 24 and are probably avaiable for streaming in full

Very diplomatic, if you don't like the answers don't ask the questions where the answers are predictable, furthermore don't post one video then take it down and post a "censored" one. As censorship is the only description of removing those segments that you removed, and considering both Slasher and RogeR said they wanted to post the unedited / censored content, then it's painstakingly obvious that someone somewhere decided to cut those sections for some reason not simply for 'a good production'.

The reason things are editted is because thousands of minutes are filmed at every event, the production team then decides what is the best for the community to be shown. Of course we could release tons of hate videos, but if you want to see those head over to youtube.com

Our filming contract with WSVG did not allow multiple cameras or even access to the stage. CPL in the past treated us very well, sadly we cannot say the same thing for WSVG, they approached us in a very unprofessional manner, and did not give us the access that all previous premier gaming events had. This will be the last WSVG event you see the crew at. This is a sad blow for the community, and for ESR.

Yeah.. I like the older planetquake4 (q4_finals_and_awards video) more then those.. The camera point of view has to be changed :)

i gave it a zero after watching it. couple reasons:
people walking in front of the camera
music didnt fit very well
commercials

for future videos like this please use more ingame footage instead of a camera pointed at a tv screen. and put the commercials at the end or dont put them in at all. if i wanted to watch intel commercials i could have just turned on my tv. as for the music, maybe im just kinda picky.

Again, we had serious filming contract problems, we would have been doing a shot/reverse shot/ingame shot. Sadly WSVG barred our employees from doing their jobs. Nothing more to say about it.

The WSVG setup the stage/viewing area in the worst form possible. Not only were there far too few seats for people to watch comfortably, but there was no Press area. So people were free to walk in front of network/broadcast/internet cameras, completely obstructing the entire frame.

again, the WSVG forced all commercial ads into all the videos

the original was deleted coz of lack of freedom of speech
apparently PQ4 was approached by id/raven and or wsvg
they reposted another vid wit all the anti d3 engine, q4, wsvg(?) stuff removed
esr then removed the post coz they felt it made them look liek they were promoting this kinda censorship

It was our intellectual property, and if we decide to delete the post because it was harboring negativity rather than flourishing, we reserve that right. The same way any author has the right to delete his post.

How can you call yourself a website for the community and focus on the worst parts of the game. Obviously the game is better than Painkiller and Fear, or the committees would not have picked it. This video was also posted by one of our newest staff members, I was away at the time it went up, and did not hear about all the problems till I returned home. It was pulled by ME, not id, raven, or WSVG. I did not receive any calls from either of those companies asking for it to be taken down.

its a website for the community because it posts info on various communities...u can find over 1000 online at any one time because the users enjoy the content provided on the site. ur content was removed because the community does not appreciate censored, 2nd rate content.

I appreciate the work but i rate this movie 1/10. It wasn't on a par with previous ones. Too bad to hear about the WSVG's unprofessional attitude towards PQ4.

I appreciate hearing your comments, and not just bashing it and giving it a zero without watching it, as others have done.

If it's possible show mostly ingame footage with occasional showing of players and tournament area (more angles too). I understand this was not possible but since this movie lacked those things I had to give it 1/10.

EDIT: commentary and/or ingame sounds are OK too.

Again, sadly because our extremely castrated contract, we were unable to give you either of those. We actually do have them, but legally we cannot release them.
