After two successful draft cups were happy to announce our first competitive tournament. The tournament will take place on Sunday 22:00 BST, 27 March 2016. We are announcing this early to allow players time to form teams and prepare for the competition. The
sign-ups are open now, and players will need to confirm their availability on the day of the tournament. Players are encouraged to join
#nactf.ql on irc.quakenet.org for more information and to play in some CTF pickup games.
4v4 Capture the Flag
The tournament will be a Round Robin format with the top two teams advancing to a finals match
Rankings in the group will be determined by match (BO3) victories. The tiebreakers will be, respectively, the result of the two teams head to head matchup and the number of individual game losses.
All matches will be BO3
Picking order will be pick, pick, drop, drop, drop, drop
The finals match will also be BO3 with the caveat that the maps that were played between these two finalists in the group stage are out of the pool for the finals match
For the finals match the higher ranked seed will choose whether to pick first map or to defer to the opposing team
If there is a disagreement in server location, the server with the lowest difference in average ping between the two teams will be used.
There are no substitutions allowed. The four players who begin your first match are considered to be your permanent roster and no other players can be used for the remainder of the tournament.
